Kiln vs Transform : From Creation to Branding
Gao Ping Tung, is a ceramic artist and entrepreneur. When he was young, he studied ceramics in school, and after he entered the society, he began to make a living from ceramic art. For more than 40 years of his life, he has been engaged in ceramic art creation, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Mr. Gao Ping Tung , followed the development of Taiwan’s economy, and found many entrepreneurs started to collect antiques from year 1981. He started to creat many Tang Tri-colour pottery (Tang Sancai) antiques works by using his excellent pottery technology. Subsequently, from the year 1990, with the transformation of Taiwan’s industrial structure, ODM and OBM concepts were gradually arisen. Based on the Tri-colour pottery design concept, artist Gao Ping Tung started to develop Koji Pottery creation works. From year 2000, the improvement of people’s living standard, high glaze technology methods were used in the pottery industry. He used the high and difficulty Temmoku glaze technology in the development of tea service utensils. Once again, he achieved the summit of the technology in pottery and porcelain industry, and promoted the glaze creations to improve the people’s aesthetics and artistic life style.
Thereafter, Gao Ping Tung as a ceramic artist and entrepreneur, 30 years in ceramic creation and business operating, he promotes his ceramic creation works with “Lugang Kiln” & “Xince Kiln” brands. It is to memorize his father’s teaching, and to thanks Lugang hometown’s cultivating. Furthermore, he launches his own brands of ceramic creations to globalization and sustainable development.
